My “why”!

Being fit and healthy at 69 is important to my family so I can be part of their lives.

What’s your “why”?

I'm Suesan, and I started Tone-Up Santa Barbara in 1996, because I know how hard it is to start a new exercise routine, and how hard it is to stick with it. AND I would NEVER work out alone. We need each other.

For me, there must motivation, commitment and accountability. My motivation is to “be there” for others, and to be able to feel confident while doing basic activities, like walking, climbing, lifting and playing with my grandchildren. My commitment is to myself and to my students, family and friends, who show up every day expecting to see me at my best. My accountability is that I know that people are counting on me to show up to be there for them in all aspects of my life.

Hopefully, you will find motivation, commitment and accountability to Tone-Up because I care when you show up (and when you don’t) and I can help you improve your lifestyle so you can do everything you love to do and be there for others.

There are a lot of options out there, so how do you choose? If you're planning to be active the rest of your life and would like a workout you can sustain for a long period of time with little risk of injury, this could be it. You'll feel better and be more able to do what you like.
